The Gingerbread Seller is a man who sells candy to children of Meadowsweet Town and works for Doris the Witch. He only appears in Overlord: Dark Legend.

History:[]

Gingerbread Seller, real name unknown, is a man in Meadowsweet Town who calls out to little children and baits them to himself with promises of candy. After Overlord Gromgard threatens him with his minions, he reveals he works for Doris, a witch living in the nearby Melancholy Moors. He states she supplies him with gingerbread, which he sells to the local children, who then go "someplace else." He proceeds to give the young Dark Lord a candy cane he uses to lower the falling bridge to the Moors.

Notes:[]

Gingerbread Seller is a cowardly man who easily sells out his generous employer, though being compliant in the presence of several ugly, toothy fiends is only common sense. He is in the child-kidnapping business for the money, and it seems he doesn’t know what Doris does with the children. Even though he uses a most creepy voice, adults seemingly don’t think he is dangerous and children lap it up.

Lines:[]

"Come and get your healthy, delicious and free cookies!" -Gingerbread Seller luring children.

"Sugar! Sugar! Come on Kiddies, you know it’s good for you." -Gingerbread Seller luring children again, this time with a creepier voice.

"I don’t want no trouble!" -Gingerbread Seller upon being menacingly approached by Overlord Gromgard.

"I’m just doing my job. It’s that witch. Doris, her name is. She gives me the cookies. I sell ’em. She pays me! And with pay that good you don’t ask questions." -Gingerbread Seller after being threatened further, revealing he is only a middleman and not that involved in Doris’ operation.

"Look, all I know is the kiddies eat them and they go...someplace else. I don’t know where." -Gingerbread Seller displaying his ignorance.

"Look take this, I use it to get across the bridge out of the town, when I go an’ pick up my supplies." -Gingerbread Seller giving up the last lever needed to lower the bridge to the Melancholy Moors.

"Just don’t tell her I gave it to you, okay?"-Gingerbread Seller being a coward again.
