Erasmus, the King of Illirium Forest

Erasmus is the king of elves living in Illirium Forest. He is a masterful plant mage and gardener, and also the owner of the Green Hive. He appears only in Overlord: Dark Legend.

History:[]

In order to gather strength to take over Greenvale and boost his own ego, Lord Grenville, elder son of Duke Gromgard, gifted the Green Hive he found to Erasmus, the King of Illirium Forest. The gardener king proceeded to use this Evil artefact to create new strains of dangerous plants and unleashed them on Meadowsweet Town.

However, none of them expected for Grenville’s unassuming little brother, the young Lord Gromgard, to infiltrate the Illirium Forest and steal the Green Hive back. This enraged Erasmus and though he faced the young Overlord in battle, he still fell by the hands of Lord Gromgard’s dwarf-dressed horde, manipulating Grenville into thinking the dwarves were behind it.

Personality:[]

Erasmus is a good, if a little absent-minded monarch, who prefers experimenting with plants to politics. Like all Illirium elves, he’s a gardener, perhaps the best of them all. Sadly, while he might be a great plant wizard, this does not mean much against Gnarl’s wits and the brawn of Overlord Gromgard.

However, though Erasmus may appear a harmless fool, he still created a plant army to let Grenville conquer Greenvale.

Strategy:[]

While Erasmus might look and sound like a pansy, be careful! His staff swings are fairly strong, he can take a lot of damage and once his healthbar crosses it’s half, he will teleport away and start healing himself. He will also start summoning minion-eating plants. Keep your minions away from the chlorophilic buggers and hit him ’till he dies.

Trivia:[]

  • Like all Illirium elves, Erasmus sounds stereotypically German.
